The project aims to redefine the role of Artificial Intelligence in our very near future. AI has already taken over complex computational tasks and the question now is, what next ?

Our project takes the help of AI tools such as Google’s Deep Dream and the Genetic Algorithm based Grasshopper plugin, Biomorpher in a unique script to aid in the process of design. The AI - human designed output is sited in Tokyo, Japan where it houses a modern cultural center. The building ceiling reinterprets a Japanese stroll garden, a contemporary entertainment space and a one stop shop for all retail fantasies. Deep within the building lies concealed, the true mechanisms that help the building function. Unknown to the public, the Artificial Intelligence works with the humans to aid in design, entertainment, production and all other mechanisms that keep the building alive. Playing off the existing Don - Quixote market in Tokyo, this project relooks at the excesses of our consumerist society and develops a new atmospheric and spatial strategy to cater to it.
